Join us for a hands-on program for growing simple vegetables indoors year-round.
This program is designed for adults and children aged 8 and above who want to begin growing simple vegetables inside their home.
We will use a technique of growing plants using a water-based nutrition solution rather than soil. You will not need electricity and only a limited amount of space for your indoor garden.
Participants can expect a brief informational talk on the history of indoor gardening and the main methods used. We will then build a simple system using mason jars to grow green leaf lettuce. Participants will be able to take their mason jars home to begin growing their produce. All materials are provided for this program.
The program will be at the CCC Museum Patio, located next to the restaurant, at 10:00am CST. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Registration deadline is April 24, 2026.
