Description: 2027 Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee
Location: Paris Landing State Park
This year, the Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee (BRAT) will have one amazing Basecamp — Paris Landing State Park! Join us September 11–16, 2027, for six days of scenic cycling, outdoor adventures, great food, and time spent with a welcoming cycling community.
Each day, riders will have multiple routes to choose from, with distances ranging from 25 to 100 miles throughout the week. All routes will be supported by Tennessee State Park Rangers and volunteers. Expect fully stocked SAG stops every 15–20 miles with water, Gatorade, fresh fruit, nutritious snacks, restrooms, and friendly faces along the way. Rangers will patrol the routes with their blue lights on to alert motorists of your presence, and our on-site mechanic will be nearby to help when bike troubles arise.
A Basecamp with a Little Extra Comfort
BRAT 2027 combines outdoor adventure with the comforts of a luxury lodge. Paris Landing State Park offers an on-site restaurant and bar, plus a swimming pool that all BRAT participants can enjoy during their stay. Whether you’re relaxing after a long ride, catching up with friends over dinner, or unwinding poolside, Basecamp is a place to recharge and enjoy the experience beyond the miles.
Participants have several accommodation options to choose from. Primitive camping in the park’s day-use area near the small shelter is included with BRAT registration. The camping area will have restrooms, portable toilets, water access, and a shower truck.
Prefer a different kind of stay? Participants can reserve lodge rooms, cabins, camping cabins, or RV and tent campsites directly through Paris Landing State Park. Lodge rooms and cabins can be reserved online here. To reserve a camping cabin or an RV or tent site, call the park’s main office at (731) 641-4465 and mention that you are with BRAT.
More Than Just a Bike Ride
The adventure doesn’t stop when you get off your bike. Back at Basecamp, you’ll find plenty of ways to enjoy your time at the park and explore the surrounding area. Take part in Ranger-led programs, guided hikes, paddling adventures, painting activities, yoga, or a relaxing massage. Join a daytime excursion to Land Between the Lakes or the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge, or take advantage of Paris Landing’s self-service paddling kiosk to get out on the water.
In the evenings, gather with fellow riders for live music, complimentary tastings, and time to unwind. Tennessee Brew Works will kick things off with its complimentary beer tasting on Saturday, with additional tastings planned throughout the week. Whether you spend your days riding, exploring, relaxing, or a little of everything, BRAT offers plenty of ways to make the week your own.
Good Food, Ready for the Ride
Meals are part of the BRAT experience, with breakfast and dinner served at the lodge restaurant on designated days. Start your morning with breakfast favorites, fresh fruit, coffee, and lighter options. In the evenings, enjoy a variety of hearty meals, from Mexican-inspired favorites to pasta and Mediterranean-style dishes. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will also be available.
Meals are included based on the length of your BRAT registration:
- One-day riders: Breakfast on your ride day.
- Two-day riders: Two breakfasts and one dinner.
- Three-day riders: Three breakfasts and two dinners.
- Full-week riders: Breakfast and dinner Saturday through Wednesday, plus breakfast on Thursday.
Want to join the group for an additional dinner? Extra dinners can be purchased during registration for $45 each, or you’re welcome to dine at the restaurant at the lodge.
Choose Your BRAT Experience
Whether you’re ready for the full adventure or can only join us for part of the week, there’s a registration option for you. Choose the full six-day ride, the first three days, the last three days, the weekend, or a single day! Explore our registration options to find the one that best fits your schedule and riding style.
Bringing someone who doesn’t ride? They’re welcome, too! Our non-rider registration option allows friends and family to enjoy afternoon and evening activities, including meals and daily excursions. Excursions take place during the day while riders are out on the routes, making BRAT a great experience for riders and non-riders alike.
