Not many people know that Cummins Falls State Park is home to two of Tennessee State Parks Mounted Patrol horses, Ranger and Chief. These horses are issued to two different Rangers that work here at the park.
These horses are not only our partners while on duty but are cared for and loved everyday to ensure that they are happy and healthy.
Donations help us to fund the horses and alleviate the cost of feed, hay, vet bills, check ups, and supplies used for grooming and riding. Donations play a huge role in the mounted patrol program.
To make a donation, click on the green 'Register for event' button and follow the prompts.
These horses and Rangers can be seen riding around the park throughout the year and at major events across the state but if you'd like to meet our horses please e-mail lauren.fagin@tn.gov for a chance to do so.
From all the horses and staff here at Cummins, we thank you for your contributions!
