Whether you are hitting rugged backcountry trails, spending a weekend at the campground, or watching the kids at the playground, accidents can happen when professional medical help is miles away.

Led by Park Ranger and ECSI Certified Wilderness First Aid Instructor ANDe Demetriou, this hands-on workshop cuts through the medical jargon to teach you how to handle the injuries most common to state parks:

Trail Trauma: Practical techniques for stabilizing sprained ankles on uneven terrain and safely cleaning deep trail lacerations.
Campground Care: Handling playground tumbles, bumps, and common campsite cuts.
Environmental Challenges: Recognizing and responding to heat illness, insect stings, and venomous snake encounters.
Improvised Field Solutions: How to build effective temporary splints and manage patient care when standard gear isn't enough.
