Go Green with Roan Mountain State Park and celebrate America Recycles Day by learning about sustainability while taking part in a fun park scavenger hunt.
Join Interpretive Ranger Price to learn more about sustainable actions at the park, discover ways you can practice sustainability at home, and design your own pair of binoculars to help you find items on the scavenger hunt. After learning more about sustainability and making our binoculars, we will take a short hike down the 0.4-mile Tom Gray Trail loop to start our scavenger hunt. All materials will be provided. Binoculars will be made of recycled and reused materials to help celebrate America Recycles Day on November 15th. We will meet in front of the Camp Store at 1:00PM. Registration is required as space is limited. Thanks for going green with us!
