Join Interpretive Ranger Haley for a 2.0 mile guided hike to see the beautiful waterfall at the Savage Gulf South Entrance to Savage Gulf State Park. This hike is moderate to hard in difficulty due to several steep sections and rocky terrain. Visitors will be taken to 1 waterfall, a swinging bridge, and see plenty of beautiful scenic spaces on the trail.
Visitors will need to bring sturdy boots/shoes, water, some snacks, and weather appropriate clothing. Please gather at the Savage Gulf South Parking lot 10 minutes before the start of the program. In the event of inclement weather this program will be cancelled.
Make sure you put the correct address in your maps as we will be at the South Entrance and not at the Stonedoor! Here is the address: Savage Gulf South Entrance 2689 55th Ave., Gruetli-Laager, TN 37339.
**The trail has a few sections where it is only boulders and rocks. You must be able to confidently maneuver and balance when going from rock to rock to attend this program. It is often slippery as well so good sturdy hiking shoes are a must**
