Join us on June 21st for the Summer Solstice Sunrise. The sunrise on this day represents the beginning of the longest day of the year, and the first day of summer. The Old Stone Fort was constructed to align with this celestial event and on this day Park Rangers will discuss the significance of the Summer Solstice in Native American prehistoric cultures.
As a precaution a flashlight or headlamp to start off with would be a good idea since the trail has roots and rocks. Please wear sturdy footwear and bring water with you. We will watch the sunrise and go for a morning hike!
