This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Gain experience in backpacking and learn core skills such as packing a backpack, camp set-up, leave no trace principles, fire-building, and more!
We will meet at the Piney Falls Overlook Parking Area at 9:00am where we will begin with a “gear shakedown” to ensure everyone has everything they need before we hit the trail. We will hike approximately 3 miles to our camping area. The second day we will return via the same route. Our route features Piney Falls, a suspension bridge, and several beautiful creeks.
Meals/snacks will not be provided but water will be provided at our campsite. There are outhouses located at the campsite.
This overnight trip is designed for beginners but all skill levels are welcome!
Deadline to register is October 25th. Registrants will receive an email a week before the trip with more details and information.
Please contact Ranger Kelsey Garcia for any further questions you may have.
