Sgt. Alvin C. York State Park Tour Information
We have provided you with some information regarding our tour of the York home that we hope will enhance your experience.
Reservation changes or cancellations may be made by calling the office at Sgt. Alvin C. York at (931) 879-6456 daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm CST/CDT. Please do not submit reservation changes via email. Cancellations may not be made via voicemail or social media.
- Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park does not issue refunds for tours unless the park cancels the tour.
- Daily tours of the York home are offered year-round, rain or shine.
- Tours depart the Visitor Center on the hour and average 45 minutes in length.
- While lower level of the home is ADA accessible, the upstairs portion of the home may not be accessible to all visitors.
- Upon request, park staff can provide tour participants with an informative video detailing the contents on the upstairs rooms if needed for other members of their party.
- Please check in at the Visitor Center upon arrival so that park staff can confirm your arrival.
- Parking is available in the lot adjoining the Visitor Center.
- Following your check in, you are welcome to accompany the park guide across the road when the tour departs. You may also park in the small parking lot adjoining the home if needed.
TDEC / TN State Parks reserves the right to cancel a reservation and/or contract anytime with 100% refund of all monies received for the reservation.

Tour Information
Take a Walking or Driving Tour
Walk with park guides on daily tours of the York home. Tours begin at 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM CT. The 45 minute tour focuses on the York home, where York, the World War 1 hero and his wife, Gracie, raised their children.
Driving tours of the Wolf River Valley are available every Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 PM CT. Departing from the Visitor Center, participants follow our park guide in their own vehicle to the various stops. There is some walking at most stops. You'll see Stops the original home site and the York Bible School.
Reservations for both tours are recommended as there is limited space available for each.
