Description: York Farm Field Day: Vintage Fishing Tournament

Location: Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park

Join us for our vintage cane pole fishing tournament! Don't have historic fishing gear? No problem! Come on out and a cane pole with a corn cob bobber will be provided to you as part of our first Cane Pole Fishing Tournament.

This tournament will allow anglers to try their skills at baitcasting, bobber fishing, and canoeing yourself to troll the Wolf River. Our park canoes will be utilized by participants for them to head out on the Wolf River. There may be no more than two adults and one child in a park canoe, and life jackets must be worn at all times. If you do not have a fishing partner to fill a canoe, you may be paired with another participant. Contestants will be judged on the most fish, longest fish, and most species of fish; as well as the farthest cast in the baitcasting competition. Please be advised, this is a historic competition, no modern depth finders, scales, or other fishing equipment will be used. We will award prizes of various fishing and tackle supplies to 3rd place and higher! All award winners will be presented and announced at our Square Dance beginning at 4 PM. For any further questions or information, please call the contact phone listed.

*Your registration fee is per individual, each participant 13 and over must be registered individually.*

*All participants 13 years or older, must have a valid fishing license to participate.*
