Fort Pillow State Historic Park
World Rivers Day Heathright Pocket Paddle
September 27th, 2025
Join the staff of Fort Pillow for a chance to paddle around Heathright Pocket in celebration of World Rivers Day. We will be meeting at the Butterfly Garden Parking lot at 12:30p.m. to start the program. While we are paddling, we will discuss what historical features that will be in route. We will also be looking for any wildlife native to the area. There is a $10 programming fee for this program. Be sure to bring bug spray, water, sunscreen, and extra clothes just in case. There are limited seats, with only 12 kayaks and 8 canoes. So you must register either through the office or our website at tnstateparks.com/fortpillow. We hope to see you on the 27th.
