This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's... a bioluminescent beetle?
Lightning bugs are well known for adding a little magic to our warm Tennessee nights, but these fascinating and mysterious creatures are doing more than putting on a show! Meet Interpretive Ranger Rachel at the boatdock to learn more about these curious critters as we paddle to an area of Lake Lindsey that park guests don't often get to experience. We will stop and spend some quiet time in this area as we enjoy nature's light show and the nocturnal world around us. Be sure to bring a waterproof container for any electronics or personal items that you wish to bring along on the float, and wear clothing that you don't mind getting wet. Feel free to bring a flashlight or a headlamp.
Jackson kayaks are provided by the park for this program at the $20 level by registering here. If you would like to register for this program but provide your own kayak, please return to the "Upcoming Events" page and click on the "Bring Your Own Boat" version of this program to register at the $10 level.
**Pre-registration is required for this program. Guests must register prior to the day of the program.**
