There are 6 woodpecker species that live in Tennessee during the summer months. Norris Dam State Park hosts all 6! Join Seasonal Ranger Ashlyn for a hike on Christmas Fern Trail to learn about woodpecker behaviors, adaptations, and other birds seen along the way!
Guests will be guided along Christmas Fern Trail, which is easy-moderate, 0.5 miles, and borders Norris Lake. Guests should be prepared to walk down stairs at the end of the trail.
Cost of this program is $5. Registration is required. Please meet Seasonal Ranger Ashlyn at the Tea Room parking area by 9:00 AM. Come prepared with appropriate footwear and a water bottle. Binoculars are recommended.
