PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Woodland Clay & Tree Cookie Ornament

Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park

Join us in the Park Museum to create your own holiday woodland ornament with clay and a tree cookie.

This program is recommended for ages 8 and up. Kids 7 years and younger may participate with adult supervision and assistance.

Cordell Hull Birthplace is home to many unique species that call the park home including mushrooms, moss, and other whimsical organisms. Using inspiration from photos and nature guides, you will mold your own mushroom and other items if time allows out of clay to create a unique holiday ornament. You can keep or give away your created ornament this holiday season to spark the spirit of conservation of our beautiful Tennessee flora and fauna.

During this program you will use clay to create a mushroom(s) and other items to place on your ornament. Once the clay has baked and hardened, we will paint our creations and attach them to tree cookies with moss and other natural items. All materials will be provided by the park.

To prepare for this program, please read the attached Essential Eligibility Criteria below.

In the event of inclement weather this program will be cancelled.
