This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Explore the diverse and picturesque bald cypress wetland found along the Mississippi river and proximal to the Pioneer Springs Trail in this 1 hour guided hike. This program will focus on the relevance of wetlands to all of our lives and why this declining habitat is worth protecting. Please wear sturdy close-toed shoes and be prepared to hike ¾ of a mile during this program. Wearing additional bug spray and bringing water is highly recommended. This program will meet outside of the Nature Center, hike to the edge of the Bald Cypress wetland along the Pioneer Springs Trail and then return the way we came. If anyone would like to continue onwards to the springs further down the trail you are free to do so.
