Description: Winter Garden Seminar - Growing Native Wildflowers From Seed

Location: Warriors Path State Park

Expert Naturalist and TN Native Plant expert Rosanna Ohlsson will teach us how to start native wildflowers from seed, and how to keep them thriving in our yards & gardens.

With native seed culture you can enjoy the outdoors, and conserve money and the environment at the same time. By collecting and growing your own natives from the seeds of local flora, you can create healthy habitats and attract a diversity of native wildlife.

We will explore some plant species that often get overlooked and underutilized. We will also learn the protocols of what and what not to collect, plus where, when and how to collect, and easy methods to start seeds outdoors as well as indoors.

The seminar will be held at the Recreation Building on Duck Island, at Warriors’ Path State Park.
