PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Wings in Winter

Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park

Several species of birds migrate to Tennessee for the winter. Join SIR Hannah Zannucci to learn about these birds and how to identify them.

This program is intended for all audiences, anyone interested in birding!

You will leave this program with a greater understanding of the birds that migrate to Tennessee for the winter. We will discuss the migration patterns, habitats, and diets of these birds.

We will meet at the Bunkum Cave Loop Trail Head for this program. Binoculars and a scavenger hunt/info sheet will be provided. We will begin with a short discussion about the species of birds we are looking for, and then use the binoculars to try and find them.

This program will last around 30 minutes and will be outdoors. Please wear weather appropriate attire and bring water. Read the Essential Eligibility Criteria to better prepare for this program.

In the case of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
