This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join park staff to help fight invasive species and beautify our park grounds! Now in its 12th year, the statewide Weed Wrangle® is a volunteer effort dedicated to rescuing our public parks and green spaces from non-native invasive species. Through hands-on removal of particularly harmful trees, vines, and flowering plants, Weed Wrangle® volunteers learn, practice, and develop a habit of maintaining areas free of non-native invasive plants. They also encourage replanting with native species in removal areas. By engaging our volunteers and challenging them to take action in their own spaces, we aim to create a movement that will have the greatest impact on the invasive plant population. Meet at the picnic area near the trailhead.
