This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join us at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park for a Weed Wrangle volunteer event focused on preserving our beautiful butterfly garden. This special garden features a diverse collection of native Tennessee plants that provide essential habitat and food sources for local pollinators. Our goal is to remove weeds so we can bring our butterfly garden to peak health, ensuring it continues to support Tennessee’s native plant species and attract the pollinators that help our ecosystem thrive. Date of event is March 7th, starting at 11:00am Central time and we will be meeting at the court of three stars (north end of the park near the State Museum.) The event will be led by Ranger Kazmark and Ranger Scroggins. Please come prepared to work with your hands and wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. We hope you’ll join us in helping keep our park vibrant and welcoming for both people and pollinators!
