Come create your own intricate web using paper plates and yarn, inspired by the amazing orb weaver spiders, and discover how these tiny artists build their distinct webs.
This program is recommended for anyone 7 years or older that is interested in learning more about orb weaver spiders and how they interact within their ecosystem. Kids 6 years and younger may participate with adult supervision.
Orb weavers are fascinating creatures that are known for their intricate wheel-shaped webs. These special spiders play an important ecological role and have helped shape modern science and technology. During this program we will discover how these awesome arachnids spin their webs and what role they play in our ecosystem.
This event will take place in the park’s museum. All supplies will be provided by the park. To prepare for this program please read the attached Essential Eligibility Criteria.
In the event of inclement weather this program will be cancelled.
