Description: Volunteer Trail Day: March 12, 2026
Location: Scott's Gulf Wilderness State Park
Scott's Gulf Wilderness staff needs your help!
This could include: removing trees, roots, or rocks from the trail, and/or general trail improvement. This is a strenuous, labor intensive trail day so please plan accordingly. Bring plenty of water, lunch, snacks, and hiking sticks. Wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy hiking boots.
We honor all TN promise hours.
If you need to complete community service or volunteer service hours to fulfill a requirement for scholarships, graduation, fraternity/sorority obligations, etc., this is a great opportunity to get those hours.

Volunteers should plan on meeting park staff at the Virgin Falls Trailhead (2080 Scotts Gulf Road, Sparta, TN) at 10:00am. Ranger Allen or a park staff maintenance lead will brief all volunteers on the location in the park where the work will take place and the project/task to be done.
