Join TN Naturalist Amber on Saturday, October 4 at 2:00pm at the Island Loop Trail. We will hike for a little over an hour and learn about some of our native trees and the important roles they fill in nature. From pioneers of the forest to quiet giants that are home to many creatures, we will discover how trees grow and connect with the forest around them. Along the way, we will identify some common native species, explore their roles in the ecosystem, and uncover some of the folklore and history hidden in Pickwick's forests. Please wear appropriate shoes for hiking. Leashed dogs are welcome to join us!
