This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the largest single-day volunteer effort for America’s public lands. Each year, thousands of volunteers come together in September to help restore, improve, and enjoy public lands around the country.
Join Natchez Trace State Park staff as we work on maintaining our native plant garden located at our Visitor Center! We will work on pulling unwanted weeds and cleaning up the beds. We will also work on cleaning up the surrounding area of the visitor center as well.
Volunteers wishing to participate in this volunteer day should plan on arriving at the visitor center at 8 am. The volunteer day will wrap up no later than 12:00pm, but volunteers are not required to stay the entire morning. It is recommended that you bring bottled water with you to stay hydrated, sunscreen, and wear appropriate shoes and clothing for working outside
