This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join the Nature Center staff for a hands on program creating seed bombs to take home and grow in your own yard or garden. During this activity, you will learn about the incredibly rare Tennessee purple coneflower, a species found only in a few locations in the world, with Cedars of Lebanon State Park being one of its most important habitats.
Discover what makes this coneflower so unique, why it nearly disappeared, and the conservation efforts that have helped protect it. This program highlights just how special it is to have this rare plant growing right here in Tennessee.
You will get a little muddy as you mix and form your seed bombs. Take them home and toss them into your garden or yard, or start them in pots to plant later, and enjoy watching your flowers grow over time.
