PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: The Meadow's Secret Helpers

Location: Fiery Gizzard State Park

Buzz into the world of pollinators during The Meadow’s Secret Helper, a gentle guided walk through blooming wildflower trails in honor of National Honey Bee Day.

As we stroll through the meadow, we’ll discover:

  • The essential role honey bees and native pollinators play in our environment
  • How wildflowers and pollinators depend on each other to survive
  • Surprising facts about bees, butterflies, moths, and even beetles
  • Simple ways we can help protect pollinator habitats at home and in the wild

This program highlights the quiet but powerful connection between flowers and their “secret helpers”—the insects who keep the world blooming.

What to Bring: Comfortable shoes, sun protection, water, and curiosity! Optional: a camera or field journal.

All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Let’s walk, wonder, and celebrate the hard-working pollinators that help make every bloom possible!

We will meet at the Meadow Trailhead located at the Visitor Center.
