Description: Tales of the Wolf River - Canoe Rental
Location: Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park
Join staff from Sgt. Alvin C York State Historic Park this summer as we float the Wolf River upstream to the very namesake of the Valley, the Forks of the Wolf. Hear tales and legends of Native Americans, Longhunters, Civil War marauders, and much, much more, as the river flows its way through history and through the heart of the Valley itself.
Meet in the parking lot across from the York Home. The launch area to the river is primitive and undeveloped in nature and a moderate level of difficulty can be expected when entering/exiting the river.
Click "Register" to reserve a park canoe. This rental reserves an entire canoe, which can hold, 2 adults and one child as a passenger in the middle. Your registration includes lifejackets and paddles for all participants. Water shoes/clothes are recommended.
*Cancellation of the float can occur for weather reasons. A reschedule of your float may occur, or a refund in full if no reschedule date can be made.
