Long hunters survived only with what they brought with them, the skills they knew, and what they could gather along their journeys. Join Kaden Payne to learn how long hunters survived during their month-long journey in the mountains. We will have examples of clothing, weapons, and trade goods. We will also be able to gather around accurate shelters that would have been built by the long hunters. Please meet at the long hunter's shelters, behind Fort Watauga. In case of unfavorable weather, this program will be moved indoors.
