Description: Sunset Paddle Trip

Location: Johnsonville State Historic Park

Join us for a relaxed, Ranger led paddle trip as we explore the shores of Kentucky Lake. We will search out historic sites associated with the Civil War and Town Era history of Johnsonville. Together we'll tour sites that today can only be visited by water. As we while away the evening we’ll keep a lookout for wildlife that call Johnsonville home and enjoy an amazing sunset over the Tennessee River.

CHECK-IN will begin at 5:45 pm.

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION:

$13 – RENTED KAYAK (Rents 1 Jackson Staxx kayak, 1 paddle, and 1 lifejacket. Suggested for ages 12 and up)
$11 - RENTED CANOE (Rents 1 canoe, 2 paddles and up to 3 lifejackets)
$9 - PRIVATE CANOE/KAYAK/SUP (Must provide your own personal paddle craft, paddle, and lifejacket)
Lifejackets always required while on the water.
No previous paddling experience necessary. Rangers leading the trip are certified in First Aid, CPR, and are experienced paddlers.
Recommended to wear clothes that can get wet/dirty, shoes that can get wet, a hat, and to bring a water bottle. Sunscreen and bug spray will be available if needed.
Paddle trip will be cancelled in the event of severe weather and refunds will be made. Decision to cancel trip will be made by 12pm on the day prior to the trip. Otherwise, no refunds will be issued.
No pets will be permitted on this trip as they may disturb wildlife we may be trying to view.
Put in will be at Trace Creek and Take Out will be at the Lakefront requiring a walk of .25 miles.
