The Spring Equinox will fall on March 20th this year. This special day represents balance and new beginnings as the night and day length are equal and the earth heads into the season of warmth and new life. It is hard to think of a better way to close out winter than an easy 2.5 mile hike to the island and watching the sunset paint the sky over the French Broad River. We'll listen for frogs and watch for other signs of spring as we hike along the Bobwhite Trail and across the pedestrian bridge to the island. Registration for this program is $10.00 per person.
Participants should plan on meeting Ranger Stephanie at the Bluebird Barn at 7:15pm. Please bring appropriate footwear, water, and a flashlight. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service dogs.
