Description: Stories of the Land
Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park
Upper Cumberland ecosystems have changed drastically during recent history. Join us for a hike where we'll explore the environmental history of this region and how the Hull family fit into it.
This program is intended for ages 8+, but everyone is welcome to attend.
You will leave this program with a greater understanding of the factors that created the modern ecosystems of the Upper Cumberland. We will be speaking about man-caused fire, historic introduction of pests, logging, and much more.
This program will be outdoors and last for around an hour and a half. We will be hiking the Bunkum Cave Trail, taking several stops to observe and discuss.
Please wear weather appropriate clothing and bring water. To better prepare for the program, please read the Essential Eligibility Criteria.
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
