Ranger Joe is ready for spring and wants to share a fun hike with friends. This hike will be 3 miles of mostly level trail with a few stairs and obstacles in between. The majestic Hiwassee River will be flowing to our left almost the entire hike. There should be plenty of wildflowers along the way. Centered in the Cherokee National Forest, the John Muir Trail is a well maintained opportunity to get out and explore. Plan to bring snacks, sturdy shoes for hiking, water and any other supplies you may want to bring. We will meet at the park office and carpool to the trail head. It is about a 10 mile drive from our office.
