This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join Park Manager Stuart Carroll at the Scott's Gulf Visitor Center for some stories and a ramble through the historic Sparta Tn. We will start out at the visitor center (just off the square), then over to the square, through the Farmer's Market, up to the historic City Cemetery, down across the bridge at Carter Street Park, and then on over to the historic train trestle over the Calfkiller River. We will end at the White County Heritage Museum, where you can browse the great displays, or head on back to the visitor center. We will have coffee available before the hike, at 9:30 am, provided by the Coffee Collective, if you want to come by for a meet and greet, and to catch up on Scott's Gulf Wilderness State Park. This is a great introduction to the rich history and beauty of Sparta, and also a great way to stretch your legs on Saturday morning!
