Discover the remarkable aquatic biodiversity of the Duck River on a guided snorkeling experience at a new Blueway launch near Henry Horton State Park. Participants will enter a shallow stretch of river to observe native fish and freshwater mollusks in their natural habitat while learning about the ecology and conservation of one of North America’s most biologically diverse rivers.
Participants must bring their own snorkel and mask and be confident swimmers. This program involves wading and swimming in moving water over uneven natural substrate. Exact meeting location, parking, and river access details will be provided to registered participants.
