This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Come learn about Tennessee’s state amphibian: the Tennessee Cave Salamander, while making slime!
This fun and educational program is recommended for all ages and is perfect for those interested in salamanders and how we can help protect them. Children age 6 and under may participate with adult supervision.
During the program, we’ll explore the unique features of the Tennessee Cave Salamander, its vital role in cave ecosystems, and what we can do to keep it safe. Participants will also get to make their own slimy “salamander slime” to take home!
This event will take place in the park’s museum. All supplies will be provided by the park.
Please review the attached Essential Eligibility Criteria to prepare for the program.
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
