Light up the night with this thrilling scorpion hunt on our very own “Scorpion Ridge” at Edgar Evins. Join SIR Dixie to learn about these unique nocturnal creatures through hands-on experience! We will be taking a short hike through the woods to test our luck on finding some scorpions! Don’t worry about the dark, using UV flashlights these small creatures will glow!
What you need to know:
· This program will last one hour
- Make sure to bring water and appropriate clothing for the weather.
· Minimal Hiking Required!
- This hike will take place at Boat Ramp Two. Please follow the signage throughout the park to this location. If you have trouble finding this location, reach out to the provided number under “About your host” for further help.
- It is heavily recommended that you wear closed-toed shoes for this program.
· Provided materials
- We have a limited quantity of UV flashlights to be used during the program. If you have one of your own, feel free to bring it.
