Description: Rocky Fork Jr. Ranger Camp - Homesteading Day
Location: Rocky Fork State Park
July 8 | Homesteading Day
Travel back in time with Interpretive Ranger Amanda park and discover the hands on skills used by early frontier settlers! Jr. Rangers will meet at the Ranger Station to explore traditional homesteading activities through fun outdoor learning stations. Campers will rotate through activities such as homemade jams, butter making, candle dipping, and more.
This interactive day will give campers a chance to experience pieces of daily life from the past while learning how early settlers used creativity, hard work, and natural resources to thrive.
Required Items:
• Refillable water bottle
• Closed toe shoes
• Comfortable outdoor clothing
Lunch will be provided for registered children only
We will be meeting at the Ranger Station.
Drop off is between 9 - 9:30am and pick up will be promptly at 1:00pm
