This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Ranger-led midday hike on the new River Gem Wetland Trail! This is a previously inaccessible area of the park that will take us through a rich and diverse wetland ecosystem. We will be meeting at the Visitor Center to begin the hike. We will then hike a portion of the Ballard Lake Nature Trail to the River Gem Wetland Trail. We will then hike the River Gem Wetland Trail back to a bridge that connects us to the Ballard Lake Nature Trail, and then back to the starting point at the Visitor Center. The hike will be approximately 1.5 miles long.
This area is rich in history and natural resources, and we want to teach everyone why it is so important at Indian Mountain State Park.
