Description: Ranger Led Kayak Float
Location: Clinch River Valley State Park
This 3-mile, Ranger-led kayak float, will take approximately 2-3 hours to complete. Guests should look forward to seeing some fall colors, native wildlife, and to learn about some Hancock County history.
Please be sure to bring water, snacks, and sunscreen. Be prepared to paddle through still or shallow water. There will be opportunities to get out to swim/cool off in the river along the way. Water shoes are recommended.
Guests should plan to arrive at the CRVSP Visitor Center by 11:45 a.m. We will then guide y'all to the put-in location and will exit the river at the CRVSP Visitor Center. Those with vehicles at the put-in will get a ride back after the float.
Registration spots represent the kayaks we have available, so sign up while you can! If you plan on bringing your own kayak/canoe and the registration is full, reach out to the email linked or call the park office at 423-259-4339, and we can add you to our roster.
This program is recommended for participants ages 12+. Any participant under 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
Registration is required!
