This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
The Ranger Book Club will meet every third Saturday of the month at 2:00 PM in the lobby at The Lodge. Pickwick Park Rangers will take turns hosting. Each month, we'll share a reading - whether it's a short story, an excerpt, or poem - and lead a brief discussion. Everyone is welcome to join; no preparation work required!
This month, we will be having a very special guest, our animal ambassador Arrow the Barred Owl! Rangers will be reading “Owl Moon” by Jane Yolen and “Whooo Knew? The Truth About Owls” by Annette Whipple. Afterwards, rangers will lead discussion and answer any questions about Arrow and his owl cousins. Participants of all ages are welcome to attend!
Be sure to dress for the weather because this book club meets outdoors! Picnic table seating is available at the Playground Shelter, but feel welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair if you prefer.
