This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
The Ranger Book Club will meet every third Saturday of the month at 2:00 PM at the Playground Shelter. Pickwick Park Rangers will take turns hosting. Each month, we'll share a reading - whether it's a short story, an excerpt, or poem - and lead a brief discussion. Everyone is welcome to join; no preparation work required!
With Earth Day right around the corner, Ranger Jillian will be sharing an excerpt from Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring," a foundational work in environmental science and conservation literature that led to the banning of DDT and the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency.
Be sure to dress for the weather because this book club meets outdoors! Picnic table seating is available at the Playground Shelter, but feel welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair if you prefer.
