This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
The Ranger Book Club will meet every third Saturday of the month at 2:00 PM at the Playground Shelter. Pickwick Park Rangers will take turns hosting. Each month, we'll share a reading - whether it's a short story, an excerpt, or poem - and lead a brief discussion. Everyone is welcome to join; no preparation work required!
We're kicking off the first meeting of the Ranger Book Club in February. In honor of Black History Month, Ranger Jillian will be sharing some poems by Paul Laurence Dunbar, an African American poet and novelist from the late 19th and early 20th century with an unlikely connection to Pickwick.
Be sure to dress for the weather because this book club meets outdoors! Picnic table seating is available at the Playground Shelter, but feel welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair if you prefer.
