PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Railroad Stroll

Location: Johnsonville State Historic Park

Seasonal Ranger Jacob will guide a stroll down the historic Nashville and Northwestern Military Railroad. The railroad connected the Tennessee River and the city of Nashville during the Civil War and served as a lifeline for commerce in Johnsonville's Town Era.

This hike will cover roughly 1.5 miles in distance, in the form of an "out and back" style hike. The terrain is mostly level, with only two sections of steep elevation, over approximately 15 feet each.

Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, including closed toed shoes. Recommended to bring a water bottle with you. Park staff will provide bug spray and sunscreen.
