PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Potholder Weaving

Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park

Come join SIR Emmalee to learn how to make your own potholder!

This program is recommended for kids ages 8 and up wanting to learn a hands-on craft and the history behind weaving.

While making your potholder, you will learn about how weaving was important to the Hull Family, and we'll explore what other types of weaving were significant during that time period!

During this program we will use weaving loops and loom to create our potholder. When we are done, you can take your new potholder and use it at home!

To prepare for this program, please read the attached Essential Eligibility Criteria below.

In the event of inclement weather this program will be cancelled.
