Description: Pontoon Tour 1:00pm
Location: Rock Island State Park
Join Ranger Kristen Garrison for a trip along the Collins River via pontoon boat, where we will view the spectacular views the Collins Rivers has to offer. On these floats, you will be able to enjoy the wonders of the Collins River, view local wildlife, and learn some history of the area. This is also a great opportunity to take some photos of the park from the water. This trip is recommended for families, nature lovers, and everyone in between. We will depart from the Kings Landing Boat Ramp and make our way down the Collins River to the Rock Island the park is named after. Feel free to bring snacks, water, cameras, and an extra jacket in case it gets chilly!
The cost is $12 per person, and there are limited spaces on these tours, so be sure to register ahead of time. Please arrive 10 minutes early, if possible, to receive gear and a safety briefing. We will also begin the boarding process. Life jackets will be required on all floats. We have plenty of life jackets, but feel free to bring your own. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled, and all attendees will be refunded and notified by text message or email, so be sure to provide a good method of contact when signing up. Refunds will only be offered if the event is cancelled by the park.
