PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Pollinator Hike and Scavenger Hunt

Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park

Fly over to the Storybook trailhead to learn about our pollinators, and to see which ones we can find.

This program is recommended for guests ages 5 and up.

Our pollinator garden along the trail attracts many different types of pollinators throughout the spring and summer. While we walk, we will be doing a scavenger hunt to search for different types of birds, insects, and wildflowers. We will talk about the importance of our native wildflowers and pollinators in Tennessee and what we can do to protect them.

This program will last about 1-hour. The scavenger hunt will be provided by the park. This is a flat walking trail. To make the most of this experience, we recommend dressing comfortably for outdoor activities, wearing sturdy walking shoes, and bringing water. There will be occasional stops within the hike to chat about native species. To prepare for the event, makes sure to read the Essential Eligibility Criteria provided.

In the event of inclement weather this program will be canceled.
