This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
If you have ever wondered where Pickwick got its name, or how the New Deal forever altered the landscape of a rural river town, this tour is for you!
Meet Ranger Jillian at the entrance to Pickwick Lodge at 2:00 PM. From there, we will hop aboard the wagon for a guided tour of the park. Be sure to dress warmly, and bring a travel mug because we'll have coffee and hot cocoa available at our first stop. You may also want to bring a blanket to make dashing through the park on this one-truck open sleigh ride extra cozy!
During the two-hour tour, Ranger Jillian will share stories of Pickwick’s past and we will make multiple stops at historical landmarks throughout the park. We will end with an optional ¼ mile hike along the Island Loop Trail to the remains of the CCC Group Camp before returning to the Lodge, where you can enjoy additional Christmas in the Park festivities.
