PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Pickwick History Wagon Tour

Location: Pickwick Landing State Park

If you have ever wondered where Pickwick got its name, or how the New Deal forever altered the landscape of a rural river town, this tour is for you!

Meet Ranger Jillian at the entrance to Pickwick Lodge at 10:00 AM. From there, we will hop aboard the wagon for a guided tour of the park. During the two-hour tour, Ranger Jillian will share stories of Pickwick’s past and we will make multiple stops at historical landmarks throughout the park. We will end with an optional ¼ mile hike along the Island Loop Trail to the remains of the CCC Group Camp before returning to the Lodge, a perfect place to grab lunch following the tour.
