Description: Paint, Protect, Preserve Art Contest
Location: Pickwick Landing State Park
From the river to the forests, from wildlife to New Deal history, there’s a lot worth protecting and preserving at Pickwick Landing State Park. The 2nd Annual Paint, Protect, Preserve Art Contest is an opportunity to celebrate the natural beauty and cultural significance of Pickwick Landing State Park, and the many ways people connect to this place. We can't wait to see what inspires you at Pickwick Landing State Park!
Artists of all ages and mediums* are welcome to participate. When you register, you will receive a copy of the submission form to complete via email. Physical copies of the submission forms are also available at the Park Office. Artwork and completed submission forms may be turned in at the Park Office (open daily 8:00 am to 4:30 pm). Submissions are due Saturday, March 14.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded in each division:
- K-5th Grade
- 6-8th Grade
- 9-12th Grade
- Amateur
- Professional
*Guidelines:
- New submissions only. Work submitted in last year's Paint, Protect, Preserve art contest will not be accepted.
- Original submissions only. Works generated or enhanced by AI will not be accepted.
- Submissions should not exceed 48 inches in any dimension.
A reception will be held where all submissions will be available to view and awards will be presented. Reception date and details TBA. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place works in each division will remain on display at Pickwick Landing Lodge for a month following the reception.
Submission Forms must be submitted with art piece. Forms can be found via the link below, or picked up at the Park Office everyday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
