Description: Paddling Through Time (SOLD OUT)
Location: David Crockett Birthplace State Park
Join us on a guided 2 – 4 hour trip on the Nolichucky River (time includes shuttle and prep with approximately 3 hours on the river.) During our adventure, we will make a couple of stops along the river to discuss the history of the Nolichucky and surrounding area, as well as all the natural beauty around!
This program is designed for teens and adults ages 12 and above.
All experience levels are welcome!
All participants under 18 yrs must have a participating parent or guardian. (sorry no participants under 12 years old)
Meet at Main Park Entrance/ Overflow Parking at least 15 minutes before the start time of the program.
We will be paddling to Kinser Bridge from the Park and shuttling participants back to the Park.
We will provide kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and helmets.
You MUST wear closed toe shoes. Bring water and a snack.
Wear quick drying materials – absolutely no cotton and apply sunscreen before the trip.
We recommend leaving valuables behind due to the risk of losing or damaging items in the river.
Before you sign up, take a moment to review the Essential Eligibility Criteria below, as these are the physical standards we will follow.
Park staff reserve the right to deny any individual from joining due to any limitations.
We WILL encounter Class 1 & Class 2 rapids on the river and we WILL be getting wet.
This program is $50 per participant. There are only 4 spots available, so register quickly!
No refunds for cancellation the day-of, due to limited space (unless unsafe weather or river conditions cancel the program - we'll still kayak with rain.)
In the event that this program is cancelled. Those registered will be notified by email.
