This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Experience the park after dark on a guided Owl Prowl and discover the hidden world of nighttime wildlife. As the sun sets, join park staff for a short walk into the evening landscape to listen and look for owls as they become active.
Learn about the different owl species that call this area home, their unique calls, hunting adaptations, and important role in the ecosystem. Along the way, we will pause to listen for hoots and practice identifying owls by sound while exploring how these quiet hunters navigate the night.
This program involves slow walking and periods of standing still in low light. Be sure to bring a flashlight with a red filter if you have one, wear comfortable shoes, and dress for the weather.
Step into the nighttime world and see what you can hear.
